Camellia formosensis, 台灣山茶, had been found in 15th century and recorded in 17th century by Dutchman. They existed from the ice age and has been found in several areas of Taiwan.
Most famous such native tea is from Kaohsiung ,Sun Moon Lake and so on.
En principles,the native tea planted in 800-1000 meter height is suitable for making to the Black tea , and this elegant flavor is the reason why we recommended you.
Native tea is suitable for lower temperature hot water , for example around 90 degrees with Gaiwan or Chawan.
Where was the Taiwan tea from?
From China?
No.The original Taiwan tea existed in ice age and belonged to Camellia family by scientific report 2006.
The DNA of native Taiwan tea had been well-studied and the prototype is recovered ,maintained and developed to TTES No. 24.
